Hab am letzten Sonntag ‘n bisschen herum experimentiert …
Auf cold-glas.com stieß ich auf den Gold Rush Cocktail von T.J. Siegal und fand ihn sehr vielversprechend.
Während ich nun, langsam und gemütlich an dem durchaus ganz leckeren Kaltgetränk herum nuckelte, fiel mir auf, das dieser Drink eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit mit dem `Flu Cocktail (Savoy Cocktail Book) aufweist, der ebenfalls sehr wohlschmeckend ist.
Kleiner Mix aus Gold Rush und `Flu “gefällig? “Heeeeeer damit!!”

6 cl Bourbon
2 cl flüssiger Honig
2 cl Ingwer Sirup
2 cl Zitrone
5-8 cl Soda
Bourbon, Sirup, Honig, Zitrone auf Eis schütteln und auf frisches Eis abseihen. Mit Soda auffüllen und mit einer Zitronenscheibe oder einer Zeste garnieren.
Schöne goldene Farbe, das Zeug und geschmacklich herausragend!
Karamelliger Bourbon, Zitrusfrüchte, weiche Honignoten und mit dem dezenten Prickeln des Sodawassers kommt im Hintergrund langsam aber sicher die Schärfe des Ingwers zum Vorschein.
Sollte es diese Kombination an Zutaten noch nicht gegeben haben, so sollt Ihr, geneigte Trinker, dieses Baby DIGGER’S COUGH nennen!
